Pre Day 1 thoughts

It is back in the saddle for this girl...  My Juicing adventures begin tomorrow..  I started a diary book of sorts to keep my favorites recipes in.  I plan to include tips and tricks as well...  I am also trying to find an easy way to add to my blog straight from my cell phone so that I don't have to wait all day to blog at night.  Feel free to comment if you have suggestions...

I am feeling pretty confident at this moment...  I have been juicing consistently for several months...  However I have had a minor weight gain and it needs to be controlled before it gets any worse... I am not getting any younger and it isn't they way I want to live my life.

Some personal background so you get an idea where I come from and who I am...

I am a twice divorced mother of 3 biological daughters and 1 adopted daughter which I love dearly..  My girls are my life and I wouldn't it.   I have a wonderful boyfriend with whom I intend to spend the rest of my life with.  He is quite amazing and you will find I enjoy talking about him A LOT.. hahaha

I love to garden, read, watch movies (huge sci fi buff here... )  Twilight, Harry Potter, and The Hobbit are my favorites.  I love climbing on the back of Bruces Harley and going to a long ride in the sun as well as just chilling at home with a pair of knitting needles or a crochet hook in hand..

A few tricks I have learned along the way:

Always pre prep your fruits and veggies as you can for the day.  It really makes the mornings much easier...

Remember to always use more veggies than fruits in your juices..  If you don't like strong greens use cucumbers to fill the gap and go easy on the spinach and kale..   High fruit juices mean a lot more calories.  36 ounces of veggie juice is way more filling than 8 ounces of fruit juice..  Equals out to the same calories...  Of course depending on your choices of veggies but you get the idea...

Always start your day with some fresh squeezed lemon juice with water.  It really does help with cleaning out your system as well as making your mouth feel better..

Drink lots of water between your juice meals.  You are going to be hungry and keeping your belly full of water helps curb the pangs of starvation...  Anyone who says otherwise is either a non eater or someone trying to make it look easy... Juicing is NOT easy folks.  It is one of the hardest things you will ever do!

If you cannot stay on a juice fast completely... nibble on some leafy greens...  A way better choice than french fries from McDonalds...

Stay strong.. Know that you are doing this to get healthy..  And lets be honest... to lose a few pounds along the way..
